Canyons is a great restaurant for an easy date night. The food is good and we've always had great service. They sell discounted movie tickets for the Regal Mountlake 9 Theater, right across the street. The few times we've been rushed to make the movie time, the staff at Canyons has been very accommodating. If you are in a rush, sitting in the bar area is typically faster service and more fun.

Everything on this menu is great! The Thai-chicken wrap, the huge hamburger, the ribs, you could close your eyes and point to something and you wouldn't be disappointed. If you like ales they have an extensive menu of ales. Can't decide which one to try? You can get a sampler of three different ones and there's a chart to help you decide whether you want one that's dry, sweet, dark light etc. The corn fritter appetizer is good, the 'corn meal fries' are good (although a little weird). The wait staff is sometimes a little slow.

Deciding what I want is always the hardest part of a visit here. I love their Cobb Salad, which is enormous and has lots and lots of the goodies that make it special. Their black bean soup is a wonderful cool weather lunch or starter. Quesadillas are delicious. Honestly, I don't think I have ever tried anything on the menu that wasn't very tasty and a lot of food for the money charged. They have a full bar, and it is a fun place to stop in for a drink and some munchies as well as for lunch or dinner. The only thing I cannot vouch for is desserts. I have yet to find room for dessert after one of Canyons' all too ample mealsnot that I am complaining!

Service is always friendly and timely, and the wait staff seems to be interested in whether you enjoyed your food or not. Though the place is generally pretty full at mealtimes, I have never experienced more than a brief wait, and the staff never seems to be eager to move you out of the place before you are ready. Overall, this is one of my favorite spots in the area for casual dining. They are also quite family friendly. My young granddaughter really enjoys the place.

If you are looking for a place that is different from the ordinary, and still fun then this is the place for you. The food is different but good. The service is great. It seems like the waiters go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time, and that the food is cooked right. I have been going here for a long time, and have yet to have any complaints. It is in a good location, and is usually pretty easy to get into. The waits on the weekend ususally aren't too long, and the food is worth every penny.
